Schoepf’s Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que in Belton, Texas is owned by Ronnie Schoepf Jr. and his wife, Staci. They bought the business from Ronnie’s parents in August 2007. Schoepf’s has been in business for over 16 years. Since the beginning, Schoepf’s Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que has been a family affair, with almost everyone in the family having worked at the restaurant at one time or another.

Schoepf’s has four cooking pits, one serving pit, and over 20 employees. The serving pit is where diners have the opportunity to see the available meat items and make a selection. If a particular pork chop or chicken half catches a customer’s eye, it’s theirs for the taking.

Over the years, Schoepf’s has received its share of recognition from a variety of magazines that have run articles about Texas’ best barbecue restaurants.
